英文摘要：Guanyintang is a Buddhist temple for people to worship Goddess Guanyin in Datong, regarded as the earliest built and now preserved.From the inscriptions in Ming and Qing dynasties, the evolution of Guanyin worship could be understood, and the reasons why Guanyin worship was popular, and its characteristics during the two dynasties could be also seen.
