中文摘要:在五四提出科学代宗教作为中国人精神信仰的思想背景下,胡适对中国有丰富的天人观思想,而宗教不占主导地位这一思想史现象进行了深入研究。他认为主要是自老子开始形成了自然主义的天道观,它与主要由孔子开启的理性主义和人本主义一道,使中国人能够认清人道和天道的关系,由神道入人道,将人生的主要精力面对现实世界。这是中国主流思想传统能够成功地远离宗教的原因。胡适据此提出现代科学和理性精神的引进与中国自然主义天道观、儒家的人本主义和理性主义复兴的结合,应该成为取代各种宗教,建立“人化”世界的思想基础。这为我们确立现代科学的精神信仰提供了有益的思想借鉴。
英文摘要:Against the ideological background in which the intellectuals of the May 4 Movement proposed to replace religion with science as Chinese spiritual beliefs,Hu Shi made a deep research into the phenomenon of the ideological history that there were rich ideology about Heaven and human.but religion did not occupy predominant position.He held that this was mainly caused by the fact that the naturalistic view on Heaven principle began to come into existence since Laozi's times,along with the rationalism and humanism mainly initiated by Confucius.it enabled Chinese people recognize the relationship between human principle and Heaven principle.and enter into human principle from divine principle.direct the main energy of human life towards realistic world.This is the reason why the major ideological tradition of China can successfully keep itself aloof from religion.Accord:ng to this.Hu Shi suggested that the combination of the introduction of modern science and rational spirit with the resurrection of Chinese naturalistic view of Heaven principle and the humanism and the rationalism of Confucianism should become the ideological foundation for replacing various religions and establishing a world for mankind.This provide a useful ideological reference for establishing the spiritual belief of modern science.
