中文摘要：早期中国共产党人对知识分子的认识并非一个抽象的固定概念,更多是一个充满意见分歧和观念竞争的持续辩论过程。知识分子是否中国社会变革或中国革命的先锋,以及知识分子是否一个“阶级”,曾经是得到过全党关注的重要问题。中共党人探索知识分子与中国革命关系的群体“经历和体验”应置于近代中国思想社会演变的大环境中进行考察。

英文摘要：In the early days of the Chinese Communist Party, the social role of intellectuals was far from being an abstract and fixed concept. Rather, there was a protracted debate full of divergent views and opposing ideas. Questions such as whether intellectuals were the vanguard of social change or revolution in China, and whether they formed a “jieji”(class) on their own once attracted great attention throughout the Party. The collective experience of the Chinese Communists in exploring the relationships between intellectuals and Chinese revolution should be examined in a broader context of the intellectual and social changes in modern China.
