中文摘要：自孙中山去世后,中国国民党围绕领导权的继承问题,引发无数次党内分裂。导致这一现象的因素很多,其中地域观念在国民党派系冲突中扮演着重要角色。国民党发迹于广东,也造就了大批粤籍党国领袖。孙中山生前在有意无意间扩大了粤籍党员同他省党员间的矛盾。随着国民党从广东走向全国,特别是蒋介石在党内权力的不断提高,蒋同粤籍领袖之间的矛盾日益扩大,国民党内部的派系纠纷逐渐演变成公开的武装冲突。

英文摘要：After the death of Sun Yat-sen, repeated splits occurred in the Nationalist Party, caused by the passing of the leadership. Of the various reasons contributing to the factions within the Nationalist Party, an important one was the stress on place of origin. A great number of the Nationalist Party leaders came from Guangdong Province, the cradle of the party. In his lifetime, Sun Yat-sen widened the disparities between party members from Guangdong and those from other provinces. When the Nationalist Party expanded from Guangdong to the entire country, and especially when Jiang Jieshi gained more power in the party, he had more conflicts with the leaders of Guangdong-origin. Gradually the splits inside the party developed into open clashes.
