英文摘要：The slips titled Jiahe limin Tianjia bie include the names of nearly two thousand members of the Tian family, but all have single-character given names. Many people have identical surnames and given names as well as many southern ethnic names. The fact that Tian clan members had single-character given names hints at changes in naming practices in the Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms period, and does not been to have been a labour-saving convention followed by scribes. Regardless of social position, the sharing of graves, surnames, given names and the lack of gender distinction seems to have been a common phenomenon. The slips also show a unique characteristic of the inhabitants of the Changsha prefecture at that time was the tendency of their names to reflect social life and the environment, while some names also reflect Daoist beliefs and naming taboos.
