中文摘要：元安西王阿难答是一位伊斯兰教徒, 但他信仰、倡导伊斯兰教的真正目的在于扩充自己的政治势力, 甚至一有机会, 进而问鼎汗位。为此, 他将伊斯兰教作为一种工具, 借此控制其领地军民, 积极争取朝中回回人的政治势力和亲伊斯兰教的蒙古贵族的支持, 并不惜与成宗展开针锋相对的政治斗争。尽管阿难答在成武之交的汗位争夺中失败被杀, 但他利用伊斯兰教为其政治服务的目的应该说是达到了。

英文摘要：Ananda, king of Anxi in Yuan Dynasty, was an Islamite, but purpose of his believing in Islam was to expand his political influence, so as to win a chance to be a Khan. He took advantage of Islam to control the army and the people of his manor and try to win over the forces of Hui people and Mongolian nobles who were close to Islam for support. Based on these, he launched political struggle against the Emperor Chengzhong. Though he finally lost the struggle for the throne and was killed, his purpose of utilizing Islam to serve his politics was attained.
