中文摘要：“传统与现代”这一二元结构显示出的,是对蕴含在中国现代文学中的民族话语所做的多方探察,以从中发现中国现代文学之“现代性”。本文指出,批判新的时间观和历史意识的凸显,反思个人与群体的冲突及由此导致的主体的确立与失落,探讨“民族国家”的想象及“公共空间”的开创,构成了李欧梵文学现代性思索的重要内容。

英文摘要：The binary structure of “tradition and modernity” has manifested multiple investigations into national discourse implicit in modern Chinese literature, which, as are done by the overseas Chinese scholar Leo Lee, include critiques of new views of time and the preeminence of historical consciousness, reconsiderations of the conflicts between individual and community and the resultant establishment and loss of subjects, and finally, discussions of the imagination of “nation-state” as well as the innovation of “public space”.
