英文摘要：The cord-tied pottery knife was a harvest tool prevailing in part of the regions of China from about 4600 to 800 BC.Its emergence,prevalence and disappearance were closely concerned with the change of all the then harvest tools and manners.The present paper expounds systematically its function, using manner,material,making method,type-division,date,distribution,regionalization,periodiza- tion,evolution and pedigree.Its examples so far unearthed can be divided into the southern and the northern systems,which along with the two corresponding systems of cord-tied stone knives suggest that in a still wider region there might have been close or distant pedigree relationships between different cultures.
