中文摘要："泥泥狗"是河南淮阳太昊伏羲陵"小泥塑"的统称。淮阳"泥泥狗"造型古拙、怪诞,黑色垫底,周身施以五彩纹饰,色彩艳丽。品种有数百种之多,多为奇禽异兽或人、兽同体或长着多头的怪物等。淮阳"泥泥狗"既具有观赏价值,又具有实用价值,又有其宗教价值。同时,它更有着宝贵的古文物价值。淮阳"泥泥狗"不仅是人们研究"人类学"、"民俗学"的活性史料;同时泥泥狗所特具的人类本源精神、直觉创造性和生机勃勃的现代感,对中国现代艺术的发展,也具有极为重要的影响。

英文摘要：Clay dog is a joint name for small clay sculptures made in Taihao Temple of Huaiyang,Henan Province.the clay sculptures are simple and eccentric with black bottom and bright multicolored stripes.The clay sculptures are mainly strange animals or many-headed monsters.Clay dog has ornarnental,praltical,relgious and historical value,so clay dog is not only the live historical document of anthropolog and ethnology,but it shows the spirit of human origin and creativity.It has a great influence on the development of modern art in China.
