中文摘要：辽圣宗以高丽称臣纳贡以及与宋断绝外交关系为条件,将"鸭绿江东数百里地"赐给高丽,高丽在其地建"六城"等。后来,因为高丽没有遵守自己的承诺,辽朝又出兵收取江东六城,并在辽朝控制的鸭绿江东南岸修筑"保州"(今朝鲜平安北道义州),作为进攻和控制高丽的军事重镇。战后,高丽屡次请求毁弃保州并进一步请求"收回"保州,辽朝始终未允。金朝建立以后,高丽仍请求"收回"保州,后经双方反复交涉,金朝仍以高丽称臣为条件,将"保州"之地赐给高丽。从辽、金与高丽的"保州"交涉中可以看出,辽、金注重"仁义"外交,在土地和名分的问题上,更加重视名分;高丽注重"智者"外交,在土地和名分的问题上,更加重视土地等实际利益,并最终获得了实惠。

英文摘要：Liao Shengzong(辽圣宗) gave the land stretching hundred of kilometers on the east of Yalu river to Gaoli, under the condition that Gaoli paid tribute to Liao Dynasty and broke up the relationship with Song Dynasty. Gaoli built six town on the new land. Since Gaoli didn't keep its promises, Liao Dynasty took the land back and built Baozhou as military town to control Gaoli. Gaoli had always wanted Baozhou "back", but Liao Dynasty refused. As liao Dynasty's successor, after many negotiations Jin gave Baozhou to Gaoli under the condition of Gaoli's paying tribute to it. Liao and Jin dynasties attached more importance to the title of lord.
