英文摘要：Abstract During the transition period between the Han and the Wei dynasties,the Han painting of Henan was on the decline.Nevertheless,the Han-Wei pictorial brick and stone was sharply developed in Xuchang,the political center of the Cao Wei dynasty.Inheriting the Han bold and flowing style and heralding the minuteness of Sui and Tang art,it desplayed striking temporal features such as terseness in composition and the distinctness of themes in content.Especially line relief on medium-sized solid bricks gave full play to the role of lines in Chinese painting,skilfully representing different figures and gradations with a rhythmic effect,and producing an excellent artistic impression.The author gives a systematic account of the Xuchang pictorial bricks and stones from the Han-Wei period and provides new data for research on this subject.
