中文摘要：<正> 山西曲沃北赵晋侯墓地63号墓出土的杨姞壶,是杨国铜器的首次发现,弥足珍贵。自发表以来,围绕铭文“杨姞乍羞醴壶水宝用”中杨姞二字的解释已发表了多篇文章,形成了两种截然不同的意见。一种意见,认为由此铭可证杨国属姞姓之国,杨姞是杨国之女,壶在晋国国君夫人墓中出土,有可能是杨国嫁女于晋时的媵器,墓主人可能就是杨姞。

英文摘要：A vase of 杨姞 unearthed from Tomb 63 of the cemetery of Marquises of Jin atBeizhao,Quwo,Shanxi,is the first of the bronze vessels of the Yang State that have evercome to light. Its publication has been followed by a variety of decipherment of the twocharacters 杨姞 inscribed on it. My opinion is that the correct conclusion can only bereached through an analysis based on the general rule governing the reference to women inthe Zhou bronze inscriptions. Considering the complexity of the problem and special condi-tion under which the vessel unearthed,the author deciphers 姞 as the self calling of a Yangstate woman by the surname of 姞 rather than the surname of a woman married into theYang State.
