中文摘要：佛教在中国的流传和发展 ,是和佛经的传入、翻译紧密联系在一起的。佛经的传入和翻译始于汉代 ,南北朝时达到高峰 ,并一直持续到唐宋而不衰。在长达 1 0 0 0多年的历史发展过程中 ,传入并翻译出了煌煌 5 0 0 0多卷的佛经 ,对古老中国的传统文化产生了极大的影响。本文所论即为此一历史过程中的某些片断 ,以便使人们对这早已过去的文化盛况有所认识和了解

英文摘要：The Spreading and development of Buddhism depended much on the introduction and translation of Buddhist classics.It began in Han Dynasty,reached its peak in the Northern & Southern Dynasties and continued to Tang & Song Dynasties.For over 1000 years,more than 5000 fascicles of buddhist classics were introduced and translated,which exerted great influence on the Chinese traditional culture.The paper focuses on some of the historical slices so that it may help the readers to further understand this past grand cultural occasion.
