中文摘要：宋元明清时期，古代通俗小说基本上被排斥于公私书目之外，直至清末民初，才大规模地进入各类书目的著录范畴；通俗小说有四种常见的著录形态，另有若干特殊的存在形式；本世纪以降，随着其文学及学术地位的提升，通俗小说逐步建立、完善了自己的专科目录系统，并全面确立了在传统目录学中的地位；考察这一进程，可以清晰地勾画出数百年来通俗小说文体独立的历史轨迹，亦可对通俗小说研究史及通俗小说目录学建设，生发有益的思考。

英文摘要：In the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, popular novel swere not basically listed in official and private catalogues, while towards the end of the Qing Dynasty and the biginning of Republic they were extensively listed in various bibliographies. There were four common forms to be listed for the popular novels, and some special forms for that. Since the biginning of 20 century, with the promotion of their literary and academic position, the popular novels came to be set up and completed their bibliographic system, and established overall their position in the traditional bibliography. With investigation of this process, their historical trace during several hundred years can be clearly delineated, and some beneficial meditations can emerge on the history of popular novel studies and the establishment of their bibli- graphy.
