英文摘要：The inscribed slips from Xuanquan total up to 23,000 pieces with a rich content com-mensurate to the status and function of Xuanquan during the Han dynasty. The slips in-clude legal and governmental documents, passenger's ID and letters. They also carry refer-ence to military institutions, population, irrigation, natural disasters as well as various as-pects of the local postal system. It enriches our knowledge of the history of the WesternRegions since Emperor Wudi of the Han dynasty.A part of the slips along with transcrip-tion are published here for the sake of students of the field.
