中文摘要：2000年2月,荆州市观音垱镇天星观村北湖滩上暴露出一座古代墓葬,荆州市博物馆对其进行了抢救性发掘。此墓紧临1978年发掘的天星观一号墓,因此编为二号墓。二号墓为长方形竖穴土坑带墓道的木椁墓,葬具为二椁二棺,椁内分五室,曾经多次盗扰。墓中出土器物1199件,有铜器、漆木竹器、骨角器、玉石陶杂器、银器、丝麻织品、皮甲等。按用途可分为礼器、乐器、生活用具、兵器、车马器、工具、丧葬用器等。许多器物造型精美,还有一些器物属首次发现,也有的则与宗教、神话有关。根据墓中出土器物的组合与特征等,判定这座墓葬属战国中期,墓主人应是楚国的贵族。由于与天星观一号墓并列埋葬,且有许多共同点,也因二号墓与一号墓相比出土兵器极少,推测墓主有可能是一号墓墓主的夫人,即邸阳君番乘的夫人墓。

英文摘要：The tomb was first found on the lakeshore at Tianxingguan in February 2000 and underwent rescue excavation immediately. Due to its adjacency to a tomb found in 1978, this tomb is coded as Tomb 2. The tomb has a rectangular earthen shaft. Water has brought away the earthen mound and filling earth in the upper part of the pit. The tomb furniture consists of two coffins within a wooden coffin chamber of five compartments, which was robbed again and again in early days. A total of 1199 pieces of funerary objects were yielded, including ritual ones, instruments, utensils, weapons, chariot fittings, tools and so on, being made of bronze, wood, lacquer, bamboo, bone, horn, jade, stone, pottery, silver, hex or leather. Many of them are beautifully shaped, and some discovered for the first time and others with religious and mythical allusions. The tomb is dated back to the middle Warring States, judging by the features and combinations of the funerary objects. The tomb owner seems to be a noble-man of the Chu State. Due to their adjacency and many shared features, Tombs 1 and 2 may belong to a couple, Pan Shen the prince of Diyang and his wife. Tomb 1 must belong to the wife because so few weapons were found there.
