英文摘要：In recent years,there were nearly 10 caves with paintings found in the untraversed Altay Mountains They are various one another in size and depth,and all peculiar in shape The paintings are painted with ocherous color,sowing images of figures,cattles,horses,vulvae,fingerprints,and other geometric designs brought out with dots and lines Analysing from their hunting methods-only using spear and lance to hunt cattle and horseetc ,but no bow and arrow being used,the age of the paintings should be considered earlier than the Neolithic Age when people knew the usage of bow and arrow Its absolute date would not be later than ten thousand years ago The images of human's face with pointed cap and of vulvae appear to have some relations with Shamanism and phallism for power of population in the primitive society These colored paintings will be helpful to the studies of primitive thought of the earlier inhabitants in the Altay Mountains and of origins of primitive witchcratft,primitive religion,dance and painting art,and still be of important scientific value in exploring the connections and associations among the primitive inhabitants of the Eurasia
