中文摘要：关于秦桧归宋 ,虽无详实的历史记录 ,但一般史家都认定是作为奸细由金人纵归。近年有学者对此提出异议 ,认为秦桧是逃归宋朝。本文对此进行商榷 ,认为研究历史忌讳孤证 ,尤其不能回避与自己论点相悖的史料 ,持此说者仅以陆游《老学庵笔记》为证 ,而回避其他史料与论证 ,在运用史料等方面也存在问题 ,因而不能令人信服。

英文摘要：With reference to Qin Hui's return to the Song Dynasty it is generally believed that he was released by the Jin Court on purpose as a spy, although there are no reliable historical records. This view has been challenged in recent years by some scholars, who believe that Qin Hui escaped from the Jin to the Song Dynasty. This paper discusses this problem. It is suggested that in discussing historical problems one should not cling to single pieces of evidence and, in particular, should not deliberately sidestep historical data bearing evidence contrary to his own belief. Those who believe that Qin Hui was released by the Jin Court have their evidence only in Pen Notes in Laoyue Hut by Lu You, the poet of the Song Dynasty, and deliberately dodge other historical materials and evidence. Therefore, their argument is not convincing. In addition, their methodology is open to question.
