中文摘要：钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿的主权问题 ,在现今的中日关系中存在争议。1 53 4年中国明代琉球册封使陈侃上呈的《使琉球录》中 ,便对中琉疆界作有明确记载 ,后世中、日、琉球三国的政府官员、学者乃至岛民水夫亦皆以为是。这充分证明 :钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿原本便是中国领土 ,历史记载的古米山 (现今的久米岛 )才是古代琉球王国的西部疆土。“古人日以远 ,青史字不泯”。只有尊重历史 ,才能认识和解决现实问题

英文摘要：Sovereignty over Diaoyu Island and its surrounding isles remains under contention in present day relations between China and Japan. A clear cut description of the boundary between China and Liuqiu in Notes on Mission to Liuqiu was in fact presented to the Ming Court in 1534 by Chen Kan,Title\|conferring Envoy of the Ming Dynasty. This was later recognized by officials and scholars of China, Japan and Liuqiu as well as residents and sailors on the islands. This fully demonstrates that Diaoyu Island and the surrounding isles have been Chinas territory from ancient times. The western bound of the Kingdom of Liuqiu was marked by what the documents refer to as Mount Gumi (the present Jiumi Isle). As a Chinese poem puts it, “Long years have passed/But the written record stands witness.” Only by respecting history can we understand and resolve the present dispute.
