英文摘要：Through investigation on the images of Cave 5 - 4,the paper expounds that it was a single cave and finished before the 13~(th) year of Taihe Reign(489 AD).It belongs to the caves of the early stage of the middle period at Yungang.It also makes known that there were not only large caves constructed during the Taihe Reign,but also independent caves in medium-size built at the same time.
