英文摘要：The Grand Marshal's Office of Mongolian Troops in the Yuan dynasty was an old term carried over from the Chief Army Officer of the Jin dynasty,while the Wanhu Office of Mongolian Troops (an office in command of 10,000 households) was a new organization established on a decimal basis under the new Mongol Yuan system.The two terms were often used interchangeably in the transition between the old and the new official titles.Although the Shaanxi Wanhu Office of Mongolian Troops and the Sichuan Wanhu Office of Mongolian Troops had different names,they were actually the same organization at different time periods.The words "Sichuan" and "Shaanxi" in the titles simply indicate that the seat of office was moved from Sichuan to Shaanxi.The complex relationships among different brigades of Mongolian Tanmachi Army in the four western provinces involving such things as the Aolu headquarters,frontline military expeditions and secondary deployment and conscription,also constitute the basic background of the upper and unified command of the Shaanxi or Sichuan Wanhu Office of Mongolian Troops.
