英文摘要：Translation of archaeological report from Chinese to English engaged in several issues of not only the language,but also the translator's cultural background and his/her different way of thinking.Based on Eugene Nida's theoretical framework of "functional equivalence," this paper used the translation of the "Archeological Report on the Western Han Tombs in Jingsiercu of the Southern Suburb,Xi'an" as an example to delineate the three aspects in translations: the semantic equivalence,the form equivalence,and the readers' response.Through this translation,the author gained knowledge on the significance,methodologies,and principles of translation.
