英文摘要：Since Western and Eastern dynasties, the worship of sunbirds, represented by phoenix, has been popular across the country, and it has also penetrated into the Buddhist art, reflecting the Chinese traditional concept, ever since Buddhism was introduced. The paper makes an investigation into the Buddhist grotto art and the worship of sunbirds in it and explores its conceptual implications accordingly.
