中文摘要：在中国,弗雷泽的人类学著作《金枝》一书影响很大,却少有人去注意弗雷泽的另两部著作——1918年出版的《旧约中的民俗》与1930年出版的《火种起源神话》。前一部书中一个章节讨论洪水神话,包括了世界各地的洪水神话资料,也包括台湾原住民的洪水神话;而后者则举了台湾阿里山邹族的火种神话例子。本文希望借由弗雷泽这两部著作,讨论这位人类学家对南岛语族神话的调查与贡献。

英文摘要：Although Golden Bough written by James Frazer is very famous in China,few people pay attention to Frazer's other two works:Folk-lore in the Old Testament published in 1918 and Myths of the origin of Fire published in 1930.One chapter of the former book deals with flood myths from all over the world including Taiwan aboriginal people and the latter took the fire myth of Zou ethnic group in Taiwan as an example.Based on these two books,this paper discussed Frazer's investigation into and his contribution to Austronesian myths.
