中文摘要：一个时代疆域观的形成,有着相当复杂的过程。明代是中国疆域发展史上的一个重要时期,故而其疆域认知问题具有极高的研究价值。明代留存至今的文献资料浩繁,其中章潢所辑《图书编》是一部具有代表性的明代重要历史地理学著作,保存了大量明代士人对当时疆域认知与理解的资料。作者首先较为系统地归纳并评价了明代士人疆域观的一些主要特点,进而深入分析明代士人疆域观形成的历史地理背景,认为明代疆域观的形成,与中国历代王朝建设之经验、明代君主之主导、知识群体的政治思想,以及对边疆地区的地理认知等因素直接相关,并强调历代疆域观的研究理应成为当代领土(疆域)研究、边疆研究以及国防教育的宝贵借鉴。

英文摘要：Tushubian, which is edited by Zhang Huang,is an important representative historical and geography book in Ming Dynasty. The author first summarizes and evaluates the main features of border concepts of the intellectuals in Ming Dynasty systematically, then goes deeply into the historical and geographical background and ascribes the reason of border concepts’formation to the managing experiences of Chinese dynasties,the leading of the monarch in Ming Dynasty,the political ideology of the intellectuals,and the geographical cognition to the frontiers.
