英文摘要：AbstractIn the article, the author discusses the conditions under which the Han nationality's art of papercutting spread westwards along the silk road from the area around the Central Plains. He bases his discussion on the careful comparison of papercuttings unearthed from ancient tombs in Astana, Turfan, Xinjiang, with those found in “the ClassicsKeeping Cave” of the Donghuang Grottoes. The article is helpful and useful to the study of cultural exchanges on the ancient silk road.
