中文摘要：段部最初是由乌桓化的高车段氏家族领导的乌桓部落,在进入辽西以后,吸纳当地各少数民族,使其民族成份发生变化,是以乌桓人为主体还是以鲜卑人为主体尚难断定。段部灭亡以后,其后裔以及与之相关的乌桓部落和高车部落全部鲜卑化,并融入北朝的鲜卑人之中,因此史书才称其为鲜卑部落。

英文摘要：The Duan tribe,a Wuhuan tribe led by a Wuhuanized Gaoche Duan clan at the initial stage,assimilated the local minorities after entering Liaoxi.The composition of the Duan tribe had been changed.It is difficult to determine whether the main part was composed by Wuhuan or Xianbei.After the perdition of the Duan tribe,his descendants as well as his related Wuhuan and Gaoche tribes were all xianbeilized and integrated into Xianbei people of the Northern Dynasties.So it is called Xianbei tribe in history books.
