中文摘要：借鉴当代翻译理论来探讨经书翻译的研究日渐增加,其中不乏有关佛经翻译的研究。佛教在唐代影响大,武则天时期达到鼎盛,而武曌是中国第一位女皇,研究武则天时期的佛经翻译有着特殊价值。武曌作为权力的代表对译经活动的赞助起着关键性作用,赞助人武曌从意识形态、经济利益和权势地位三个方面操控佛经的翻译。具体来讲,从利用《大云经》的翻译以掌握政权,到操纵《华严经》的改写巩固其政治地位,从选材到译经的接受,武曌对佛经翻译的操纵无处不在。

英文摘要：Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty achieved its prosperity during the time of WU Zhao's control.Standing for the authority,Wu Zhao played a critical role of patronage in the translation activities of Buddhist Sutra.She exerted her influence on the translation of Buddhist Sutra in three areas: ideology,economic interests and political status.By manipulating the rewriting of Da Yun Sutra and Hua Yan Sutra,she seized the power firmly and consolidated her political status.Wu Zhao's manipulation of the translations of Buddhist Sutras can be seen everywhere,either from the selection of translation materials or from the reception and effects of translation.
