中文摘要：本文通过剖析十九世纪二三十年代中国画坛的状况,以及常书鸿在当时对中国美术发展的思考以及对敦煌艺术在中国绘画史上地位的认识。提出了常书鸿领导下的敦煌艺术研究所对敦煌艺术的大力推广所取得的成果及其对中国现代美术发展的贡献。

英文摘要：This article attempts to give a comprehensive description to the great influences of the powerful Dunhuang Art Exhibition held by The National Dunhuang Art Institute under the leadership of Mr. CHANG Shu-hong and its contributions to the established Chinese modern art by descriptive explanation the stage of Chinese fine art world in the early years of 19th century and Mr. CHANG Shu-hong's deep considerations on the path of promoting Chinese art at that time and his understanding of the importance of Dunhuang art in promotion of the Chinese traditional art.
