中文摘要：<正> 位于新疆库车、拜城之间明屋达格山下的克孜尔石窟,以其绚丽多姿、殆越人工的壁画艺术驰名中外,然而历史上究竟以何寺称之,却因缺乏直接资料,至今还是一个未解之谜。本文试图运用比照的方法,即以文献记载的龟兹佛寺有否与克孜尔石窟情况符契的,作点推测,以期讨论。

英文摘要：Being considered as the prominent representative of Qiuzi Grottoes in the Western Area and having greatly influenced Chinese Buddhist arts during its earlier period, the Kizil Grottoes in Xinjiang assumed what name in history poses an interesting prodlem for students of grottoes, with reference to historical documents concerning the geographic environment of the Qiuzi Buddhist Monastery and using the method of analogy, the author thinks it highly probable that the Kizil Grottoes used to be the Vava-seji Monastery in The Trip of Wukong in India. The discussions presented in this essay may be of importance for further studies of the Kizil Grottoes.
