英文摘要：he report of Sijie思结to Tang asking for food can be seen in Dunhuangmanuscript P. 2942”He-xi-xun-fu-shi-pan-ji河西巡抚使判集”.Although the report isvery short(only 4 lines),it reflects an importantly historical fact what because of lackgrain,Sijie tribe had to ask for food from Tang and then came over and pledged allianceto Tang.In the past, the tribe belonged to a part of Tie-le铁勒and roved around as a nomadin the Mountain area of Mongol plateau. During the Sui隋and early Tang初唐Dynasties,the tribe submited to the central goverment of China time and again. The Si-jie tribe mentioned in the manuscript migrated to Ganzhou甘州and Liangzhou凉州to-gether with the Uighurs,Qibi契 and Hun浑tribes etc. during Wu-ze-tian武则天period(the later 7th century).After Liangzhou was occupied by the Tibetans in themid-8th century , the Sijie people unreconciled to be enslaved and moved to the Mountain again. They were attacked by the Uighurs there and suffured heavy losses,and then had to return to the Hexi Corridor again. This report was just sent from Hexito Tang at that period. Their requesting was approved.The manuscript can be servedas an example of the enlightened policy towards minority nationalities of the Tang Dy-nasty.
