中文摘要：戊己校尉是汉王朝在西域设置的重要官职,其职数情况是:西汉元帝至哀帝和东汉明帝时所设的戊己校尉,实际上均为戊校尉和己校尉二职,后又都合并为戊己校尉一职;无论是分设二职,还是仅设一职,其属官都分别有校尉丞、部司马、曲候及校尉史、司马丞、候令史等。作为中央派往西域的驻屯兵的军事长官,无论戊校尉、己校尉还是戊己校尉,除听命于中央,大约西汉至东汉中期要受敦煌太守节制,此后则由凉州刺史领护。

英文摘要：Wu Ji Xiao Wei was a key position established in Xi'yu region by the Han Dynasty. This position experiencedsome changes during the two Han times: Wu Ji Xiao Wei position established during the time from the Western HanEmperor Yuan to Emperor Ai and Emperor Ming's reign of the Eastern Han actually consisted of two positions firstly,but later the two positions were integrated into one. No matter it was separated into two positions or one integrated posi-tion, its appended offices included Xiao Wei Cheng,Bu Si Ma,Qu Hou,Xiao WeiShi,SiMaCheng and HouLing Shi,etc.As military governors assigned to Xi'yu region by the central governments,they must follow the orders of the centralgovernments. Perhaps also it came within the Dun Huang Tai Shous jurisdiction from the Western Han to the middleEastern Han and from then on it was subject to the governance of Liang zhou Cishi(Civil governor).
