中文摘要：基督教是欧洲近代文化的源流之一 ,其女性观对西方女性的影响至深。追溯并重述基督教女性主义神学景观 ,是我们理解当代西方女性主义历史文脉的关键所在。早期基督教美术中的女性图像的传承与变异深刻地反映出 ,在最初的两个世纪里 ,基督教同情女性的倾向得到了大量女性尤其是下层女性的追随 ,使其在初期获得了巨大的发展。3世纪中期以后 ,由于社会环境的一系列变化 ,罗马当局开始改变对基督教的敌视态度而转向利用 ;基督教出于自身发展的需要 ,也以剥夺女性平等信仰角色为代价而与罗马父权制文化相妥协。其结果不仅损害了罗马女性的自尊和权利 ,而且也导致了近代西方女性地位的整体低下。

英文摘要：Succession and variation of female image in earlier Christian art reflected trend of Christian's showing its sympathy to female was followed by many females, especially those inferior ones in the first 2 centuries, which also developed greatly in the earlier days. Middle 3 century later, with various changes in society, Roman authority began to make use of Christian instead of being hostile to it. In order to develop itself, Christian compromised with Roman patriarchy by depriving women of equality in belief, which not only resulted in damage to Roman female's self-respect and rights but also led to overall inferiority of western female's position.
