中文摘要：贪魔是摩尼教中暗界的最高魔首,通常被说成阴性,称“诸魔之母”。在语种众多的摩尼教文献中,见于西方的科普特语文献称它为黑疠,见于西亚、中亚等地的伊朗诸语和突厥语文献称之为阿缁,见于中国境内的汉语文献称其为贪魔。三名所指者大体相同,即以贪婪为特色的万恶之源;但其文化来源相异,分别源于希腊古典文化、伊朗琐罗亚斯德教和印度佛教。该现象表明,摩尼教在布教时特别善于借鉴当地的文化,为己所用。

英文摘要：Greed Demon is the superlative chieftain of Dark World in Manicheism, which is often regarded as a female and called as the Mother of the Devils. She is named Hylè in Coptic documents found in Egypt, z in Persians and Turkic ones found in Iran and Central Asia, and Tan-Mo in Chinese ones found in China. All these names designate the same role meaning the headspring of all evils in principle, but the cultural origins of them are different. They are come from classic culture of Greece, Zoroastrianism of Iran and Buddhism of India respectively. This fact indicates that the Manicheans specialize in borrowing local cultures while spreading their own religion.
