中文摘要：锁子甲是古代战争中使用的一种金属铠甲,由于其材质构造与外观的奇异,可称是真正意义上的“铁布衫”。公元前5世纪或更早,可能是黑海北部的斯基泰人首先发明了锁子甲。作为一种外来的铠甲形制,锁子甲从早期进入中国西域地区至最终传入中原,历时三个多世纪,这一过程曲折、漫长而有趣,充分展现了中古时期各主要地域和民族之间政治、经济、文化诸方面活跃的互动关系。

英文摘要：Suozi Loricae was a mental loricae used in ancient wars. Because of the material construction and strange appearances, it can be called “Tie Bu Shan” in the real sense. It was the five century B.C. or earlier that Scythians first invented Suozi loricae. As a foreign loricae, Suozi loricae went from the Western parts into the middle parts of China, lasting three centuries from its earlier period. This process was long, interesting and winding, which revealed fully the active mutual communication among peoples from every main regions in the aspects of politics, economy, culture and so on.
