中文摘要：虞集文集中所见的"刘伯温",显然不是明初爵称"诚意伯"的青田人刘基,而是生活在元中后期的张掖人刘沙剌班。考究后者的生平,其出生在唐兀亦西夏人的官宦家庭,少年入国子监就学,成年后中进士,先后任甘肃行省检校官,四川行省员外郎、西台御史,山南、河东道廉访司签事、内台御史,山北道廉访副使,江浙行省郎中、秘书卿,江西、河南道廉访使、西台侍御史,甘肃行省参政,等,多有善政和文会。其个性的突出点:一生孜孜不倦于问学、修学、劝学、礼学。鉴于河西原是个"多武勇,而少文理"的国度,以"张掖"之刘氏而言,其入元的两代,由入值卫士至入读国子,始武继文,可以说是十分深刻而典型的变化。

英文摘要：It is certain that the man named Liu Bo-wen mentioned in those collections by Yu Ji was not Liu Ji who was born in Qingtian and had been confered a title of nobility as Chengyi Bo in the early Ming,but Liu Shalaban who was born in Zhangye and lived in the middle and later Yuan.Based on relative materials,we can see that Shalaban was Tanghut nationality and there were some officials in his family.He studied in Guozi Jian when he was young and became a successful candidate in the highest imperial examination when he was grown up.After that he had made some administative achievements and hold some party for composing articles and poems during the periods when he took the posts one by one as Jijiao Guan of Gansu Xing Sheng,Yuanwailang of Sichuan Xing Sheng,Yushi of Shaanxi Xing Yushitai,Qianshi of both Shannan and Hedong Lianfangsi,Yushi of Yushitai,Fushi of Shanbei Lianfangsi,Langzhong of Jiangzhe Xing Sheng,Qing of Mishujian,shi of both Jiangxi and Henan Lianfangsi,Shi Yushi of Shaanxi Yushitai,Canzheng of Gansu Xing Sheng etc.He had the outstanding personalities and did his best in the various educatinal works in his all life.It could be found a great and tipical change if you compare the son of the academic qualities as a student with the father of the matial qualities as a guard since there were much more brave warriors than clever learners in the country of Hexi.
