中文摘要：受文化传统、地理环境等因素的影响,西夏的基层组织有别于传统的汉地模式。西夏基层社会中存在着两种基层组织的现象:既有唐宋基层社会中的乡里制度,同时还存在与吐蕃相似的部落制度,对"首领"的考论成为认识西夏基层部落制度的关键。西夏存在两种基层制度以及部落制度的消亡等是诸多因素共同作用的结果。

英文摘要：The basic-level organization of the regime in the Xixia Empire differed from that of the Han people due to its cultural tradition and geographical environment.It saw two basic-level organizations in Xixia:both of the rural system of the Tang and Song dynasties and the tribal system similar to that of Tibet existed in the basic-level society.The key to explore into this phenomenon is to examine the "chieftain." Complicated factors underlay the existence of the two systems and the perishing of the tribal system.
