英文摘要：Based on the extensive reading of the historical document,the author of the present article indicates that "Xifan",besides "Tufan",as the most commonly used term,it often means Turkish and Indo-European languages in the western region.Meanwhile,the definition of "Xifan" is inadequate in the Grand Dictionary of Chinese Language.
